4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2013 Cask at the Blue Blazer dispensed via Scottish air pressure, no sparkler.
Pours with a big beautiful beaming head. Gorgeous clear clean pure orange copper sparkle. Bready on the nose and very clean but big and morishly biscuity in the mouth and on the tongue. Dry with very little if any residual sweetness.
The perfect example of a classic cask pale ale with a twist of the modern which steers well away from bland, twig water, big, the extreme or stupid. The balance and taste are moderate but completely tastily dominant.

Bottle from drinkmonger. Pours deep golden, white head. Fruity hop aromas. Predominant flavours from citric hops, orange and grapefruit. Clean bitterness, but not overpowering, extends to the finish. Delicious stuff.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Interesting brew this one. A soft fruit aroma is the initial hit on the senses, with peach and a hint of banana, usually lacking in citrus fruits. The sweet, soft fruits continue in the mouth with a spicy punch in the back with pepper and a hint of five spice. Sweet sticky malty finish which is a little unwelcome. Nice carbonation. A slightly harsh finish. An unusual pale ale and quite drinkable.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Pours cloudy, amber-gold with a fine, white cream head. Aroma is all immense peach, melon, mango. Medium sweet with further strong peach and tropical fruits, some lightly toasted pale alts in the background, soft earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, super juicy finish, lots more peach, sugary peach yoghurt, pineapple, watermelon, canteloupe. Quite an interesting beer. Well and fruity. Extremely tasty.
