3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Scopey (3246) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2013
Keg at Hanging Bat. It pours golden with a medium white head. The nose is touch of farmyard, potpourri, pine-fresh toilet cleaner, hay and pithy citrus. The taste is zesty citrus, orange rind, soap, strong pine and floral notes, with a bitter, citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad, but difficult to get past the pine-fresh toilet cleaner aspect.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 McNeillR (249) - SCOTLAND - APR 9, 2013
Big soapy citrus nose, cloudy dark yellow body and a decent white lasting head. ABV gets it’s introduction out of the way quickly, concentrated and clinical pine which softens after a few sips. Crumbled packet of digestives spreads over the palate, taught bitterness creeps in but there’s a soapyness to the malt that an unripened orange spiking through the linger.
Really, really fancy seeing this cooler and crisper on Keg to see if it improves or just papers over the cracks.

3rd April 2013 Craft Clerkenwell. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, little white head. Crisp palate, sharp carbonation. Mild creamy malt, dry, slightly thin. Nice sweet orange start, turning to bitter citrus. Touch of floral character and then tangerine. Smooth finish. All right!

[keg at the Holyrood 9A, Edinburgh] Slightly hazy golden amber pour, decent white head. Aroma is extremely citrus heavy, lemon, lime and orange. On the flavour, more pine comes out, but again with a walloping dose of zingy citrus. I do like Centennial beers, they have a bit more to them than the grapefruit-laden Cascade. Long dry, spruce and lemon finish. Good stuff [15022013]
