Bottle Coppers Ncl. Waxy lemon aroma, sharp, resinous palate. Great bitter pale ale, loads of character and body for 3.2%.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a pale hazy beer with citrus and tropical fruit flavours, a slight thin body followed by a bitter hop finish. Superb for the ABV!

Bottle @ home, pours amber with quite a big head which reduced v.quickly, this is perhaps some over carbonation in the bottle (to be honest i’m not sure). While a nice beer there is a perfume note to this beer like an earl grey tea which was just ever so slightly off putting.

Aroma: Bright aroma of lemon and apricot.

Appearance: Clear golden body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Flat carbonation. Light carbonation.

Taste: Fresh citrus flavours. Slightly soapy.

Palate: Thin body with an oily texture. Flat carbonation.

Overall: Very refreshing and sessionable.

Bottle from Cornelius. Medium golden amber with big fluffy white head which settles quickly leaving one finger. Mellow hoppy aroma, light yellow fruit. Mellow malts and lemon then grapefruit, then a lightness of hop finish. Surprisingly full palate. Light and zingy but with weight behind it for the abv, oily. Would like to try on keg.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 13/06/13. Clear golden with a thin white head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is juicy hops, orange, grapefruit, sugars. Taste comprises hops, tea bags, light pine, touch of mango, orange. Light to medium in body, moderate carbonation, dryish finish with a little bitterness. Tasty enough stuff for a low ABV offering.

Cask @ Blackfriars. Orange amber colour, reasonable head. Mild resin hop aroma. Dry citrus biscuit flavour. Bitter aftertaste. A bit bland.

Cask @ Hanging Bat [250613]
Amber, big frothy white head , clear, good lacing
Aroma of soft lemon, light fruity sweet malt, good aroma for the abv
Taste of soft lemon and citrus , soft grassy hop, soft sweet pale fruits
Palate - Light body but good body for abv, quite oily. Finish as main flavour, nice soft citrus hop linger
Overall - Another good example of a decent well-made low abv beer

Scopey (6812) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 23, 2013
Cask at CP&K. It pours amber with a small white head. The nose is earth, bread, floral, toast and light sweetness. The taste is mild, hay, straw, grass, toast, biscuit, and floral notes with a dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Easy drinking, but pretty so-so by Tempest standards! Nothing wrong with it mind you.
