2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a light golden colour, a little hazy with moderate carbonation and a small but bright white head. Wheaty aroma with a sweet touch. Bitter, light flavour. Not terrible, doesn’t have that funky metal taste, but a very light on beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours lively. A good inch of rocky white suds settles atop a misted sandy gold body. The carbonation fine and furious. Soft mineral edge to a soft and subtle nose. There is just a smidgeon of lemon grass and lemon-drop candy, honeydew and cantaloupe with a clean touch of crushed white grapes. Salty and sour on the palate - unsure whether bier Gose was on their mind but it edges one in flavour. Lemon drops, dusty palest malt, sour herbs, wheat and Vietnamese mint sum it up. Salty, dry, malt driven finish. Lean body and moderately carbonated with a chalky mouthfeel. Overall uninspiring but easy drinking quaffer. (33cL, no date stamp, Liquor Barons Ocean Reef)

UPDATED: MAR 9, 2013 there’s not a lot to this beer- at first. pale straw, big frothy head, lagery nose, clean taste... but as a session beer, it has an addictive quality. textural, quenching and moreish. I like!

Hazy pale amber pour, fluffy white head. Nose is citrus, mild spice. Taste is slight lemon, spicy, a little pepper maybe. Very clean finish, extremely easy drinking.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma slightly malty, citrusy and piney with a touch of vanilla ice cream, amazingly the same goes for the taste except slightly stronger and the vanilla is more on the palate than in the taste, especially the slightly creamy sensation. Appearence is cloudy with a uniform pale yellow colour. Overall, an interesting but tasty golden ale.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours hazy amber with a small head.
Nose shows wheat, citrus, floral perfume-like notes and herbal characters. A bit... weird.
Flavours are equally unusual. Lemon, floral notes, light malt. The salt isn’t over but certainly contributes to the beer’s unique profile.
Body seems to be on the watery side, while the carbonation is much too high.
Not really my kind of beer.

Bottle. Presumably the TM after "Bicycle" in the name is a dig at Monteith’s. Hazy yellow gold with a rocky white head. Aroma of lemon pudding, orange blossoms, coriander, white pepper. Light bodied. taste has lemon, spices (the above, plus vanilla), light dough. Dry finish with a fir whack of salt. A good and rather original dust-cutter that will be very welcome in Summer.
