Copper colour, creamy off white head which persists, about 1cm thick. Light carbonation. Grain, nuts, caramel. Sweet, with good bitterness, caramel again - nice bittersweet finish.

Pours ruby/copper with a lasting head. Nose shows bready and grainy malt, plain spicy hops and some caramel and nutty characters. Similar flavours. Nutty, toasty malt and spicy hops followed by a metallic note. Carbonation is too high.

On tap at the brewery. Great taste, well balanced. Aromas of caramel and liquorice. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.

maneliquor (3107) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 31, 2012
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Perfect appearance. Slightly opaque amber colour with an amazing looking head. Slightly off white, very dense and sticky. Lots of lacing left. Nose is all about the caramel and biscuit malts. Light hoppage but not a great deal going on. Similar flavour profile. Easy drinking and sessionable which is what I expect of an ESB. Well done but nothing wows me. Still a good-en

ComradeK (1028) - The Vale of Dundas, AUSTRALIA - JUL 31, 2012
330ml bottle. Pours a slightly murky copper amber, with a small off-white head, which fades rapidly and leaves next to no lace. Mild resin hops mix with rye bread and a touch of toffee malt on the nose. Lemon hops up front are perhaps a little on the sour side, but they give way to some pleasant enough toffee and caramel malt. There is some faint pine resin in the finish. This is a passable enough beer, although lacking any really serious interest.

Bottle, 12C. Clear copper with a beige head that leaves sheets of lacing. Aroma of toffee, pears, flowers, spices, hints of nuts and chocolate. Creamy verging on syrupy texture. Rich and sweet with firm peppery bitterness coming though in a drying finish. A little heavy on the palate for this sort of thing for me - it’s tasty and involving but not that refreshing.

330ml bottle, into a pint. Lovely red gold colouring with a frothy cream head. Big hops aroma with a sweetness, almost like honey. Bitter hops, nice kick to it - very dry. Creamy finish - I like it.
