Temple Pale Ale is a distinctive and aromatic full flavoured ale with a rich malt character derived from five imported and domestic malts, including the famous Maris Otter. This is balanced by a clean bitterness and a refreshingly crisp, dry finish.

A unique blend of floral citrus hops lends a characteristic depth and complexity to both the flavour and aroma.

Temple Pale Ale is bottle conditioned to produce a natural carbonation. At 5% ABV, it’s perfect to enjoy on its own or paired with your favourite dish.

Editor’s Note: This beer is currently brewed by Ron Feruglio of Temple Brewing Company at the 3 Ravens brewery but is NOT part of the 3 Ravens brand.

From a 330ml bottle on 24/1/2013. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium head. Has a light citrus fruit aroma with a touch of yeastiness. The flavour features sweet and sour citrus fruit (especially orange and lemon) with quite a firm, dry hop bitterness. A good but not great pale ale (and probably closer to English in style than American).

An ok beer. Nothing special about it. It has a fruty aroma. Seems lighter than a normal pale ale. Refreshing neverthelees.

Bottle from Plonk. Hazy copper with some sedimentation. orange/citrus aroma with some sweet malt in there too. Flavour more of the same wih a nice bitter finish. Not bad, but not a stand-out pale ale. Temple make some far superior beers.

Sweet malty hoppy aroma, golden in colour with a nice lasting head, taste is nicely malty and just a bit fruity and hoppy. Palate is bitter and a bit sweet. Overall, a decent pale ale.

This is an ok pale ale, nothing too special. Some nice light fruity hop notes in the aroma and a good light palate.

Odd pour; murky, tawny copper with very fine and bleak carbonation. Headless - not looking good. Plump fruit on the nose; prunes, dates, apricots, caramelised oranges with doses of Anzac biscuits and rose water making it a little rich to start. Inside it is piney and woody with a gripping, pronounced astringency and dry, sawdust and bitter herb swallow. Bitterness builds, sharp and raspy with little backbone. Light sweetness upfront, void of malt in between to balance. Just doesn’t showcase its make-up at all! (33cL, 5.1% ABV, no date stamp, Liquor Barons, Ocean Reef)

330mL bottle, pours hazy copper with a small quickly fading white head. Nice citrus note in the aroma with a caramel undertone. Clean bitterness to begin then a slightly muddled citrus/earthy hop flavour followed by a sweet after thought. Not a bad pale but outstanding either.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours light copper with a small, sticky white head. Nose is soft citrus hoppage on a heavy malt back drop. Was expecting it to be hoppier. Seems to have no bitteress on the finish. A little bit boring. Not too bad just not memorable

ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Cloudy brown beer with a thick white head. A very light touch of hops. Not much else to say here!
