Not as sweet as I expected, I was expecting something similar to the summer shandy; this one is a little darker and the ginger/honey/lemon give it a more spicy less sweet flavor. I’d definitely recommend it for the foods suggested already: Indian, Thai, or Chinese would be perfect with this. Not the best to drink by itself.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky yellow color with a large foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tart artificial sugar, lemon, ginger and orange. The flavor was wheaty and bready with fairly strong notes of orange, honey and a hint of ginger. Medium length finish of bread, orange and honey. Moderately full bodied. Very nice.

A WELL PUT TOGETHER brew with flavors of lemonade, clover honey and ginger just wafting thruout a creating nice dimension. looks somewhat like a wheat beer and there is some wheat beer in the mouthfeel.

Quite weird and also strange. Was fruity and sweet but with not so common features in it.

12 oz bottle This was a gift from friends while at Hickory Nuts in Holden Beach. My first Shandy was in England. This was a true shandy with lemon on the nose and taste. There was some sourness but overall a very good shandy. The lemon peel dominates the ale. The shandy had average carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice shandy overall, with some wheaty/malty notes towards the end a refreshing lemon zest. Not overly sweet or lemonade-ish, but definitely well within the bounds of a shandy. The added grapefruit juice is noticeable at the beginning and end, and fits in nicely. Pleasant.

The pour is a murky and dull gold with no head and leaves no lacing. The aroma is very similar to ginger ale. The taste, however, is more complex. It’s actually more like your typical wheat beer with some ginger sprinkled in throughout. It surprisingly works really well! I had very little expectations for this beer but I find it drinkable and different. Not bad!

12oz bottle. Murky yellow pour. No head. Lemon candy aroma. Grain, ginger, honey, syrupy. Not quite as bad as that sounds: 6.2
