Poured on tap at Brix in Sunset Beach. The beer has a nice brown color with a medium head. Aroma has some nuts and light coffee notes. Flavor is very nutty which I personally enjoy. There is also some roasted malts, more coffee and a touch of spice. One of the better browns I’ve had.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 matthewjk (735) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Provisional rating : This thing turned into a geyser on me and lost 1/4 of the 22oz bottle’s contents. Obvious signs of over-carbonation, but not detecting sour or infected elements otherwise. Besides the obvious drawl backs, nice and malty--as a good brown ale should be! I will need to re-rate this one eventually if I come across another bottle. In general, I like Tenaya, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt with this one.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 Beerenberger (794) - Fischer, Texas, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Aroma is toasty malt. Pours a clear deep amber/ brown with, in my case, no head or lacing. Taste is similar to the nose - tasted malts up front with a not much taste on the backside. Medium bodied with minimal carbonation. Overall, a nice tasting brown ale. Not a home run, but certainly drinkable.
