Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jul 10, 2004 Amber color with a firm foamy yead. Pungent brown sugar aroma. Smooth but acidic, with sweet flavors and burnt caramels. Little to no yeastiness. Humulone_Red (744), Vancouver, Washington, USA Jul 1, 2004 Sweet malt nose. Some head with good lacing. Some malt in the body but a little thin for me. The texture starts creamy and then turns chalky. No very good. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Apr 12, 2004 on tap at brewpub: this was the first beer i drank at tenaya creek on recomendation of the bartender. plus i thought this was one that sounded the best for a seasonal. poured in an ice cold frozen glass, killing any aroma and taste the beer had. hazy tan-brown color with a small tan head that disipated. no aroma, kept trying to find it but mostly smelled like a damp towel, nothing. the taste was mostly of malt, crystal sweet with some hoppy overtones in the finish. some kind of an off flavor, cant quite pinpoint it. reminded me of some of my homebrews that went the wrong direction but you could still drink it with a perplexed look and wonder where you went wrong. weird brew. definately didnt remind me of the class at all. surprising because they make a legit hefe, add some higher lovibond or darker malts and you should be able to get what your after??? i wish this would have worked, could have been good.
