On tap at brewery. Pours a clear dark brown with a red tinge and a big frothy brown head that dissipates into a brown ring. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, sweet chocolate, nuts, fried dark fruits and a faint hint of booze. Taste is roasted malts, nuts, dark dried fruits and a smooth alcohol flavor. Very full bodied Porter that’s pretty smooth for the high abv.

Strong Ale 2012. Very dark brown pour with a khaki head. Some sweet toffee malt, a hint of vanilla, coffee, dark chocolate, and plenty of roasted malt. A little bit of dark fruit sweetness, too. The flavor is just okay. Some roasted malt, a bit of toffee and vanilla sweetness, a bit of chocolate, and a light coffee bitterness.
