COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hauling oats is hard work. Donkeys are motivated by carrots. Here at Tenaya Creek we are motivated by beer. Especially when it has the subtle aroma of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.
It is easy to forget about the long journey ahead when a dark ale with a golden tan head is in hand. So drop the reins, pry open the lid and enjoy the rounded, smooth pull. Take a breath and savor the notes of semi-sweet chocolate and hearty oats.
Your donkey deserves a reward for all its hard work
- just don’t share this treat! ABV: 5.7%

Pours a pitch black with a foamy tan head which fades to decent lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, oatmeal, stale coffee, and some caramel. Taste is roasted malts, bittersweet chocolate, oatmeal cookies, tobacco, and caramel. Has a medium body with a slightly watery mouthfeel, and a semi dry, semi bitter, roasty finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, sessionable sweet stout.

Solid cola brown with a strong two-finger tan head and ok lace. Aromas of bitter chocolate/cocoa nibs, licorice, grassy/earthy hops. Flavor dominated by bittersweet baking chocolate, suported by leafy hops, bread and oatmeal. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, low carbonation, and a lingering sense of chocolate oatmeal cookies.

The nose has chocolate and espresso notes with hints of oatmeal. The taste starts rich and malty with licorice, chocolate and coffee. The hops provide tobacco notes mid palate, as it finishes with slightly smokey and woody. A nice oatmeal stout with a great name!

650ml brown bottle. Deep brown pour, almost black with a yeasty haze. Brownish creamy cap on top that drops out pretty quickly. lacing is pretty minimal. Nose has chocolate, light roast and oats. Taste has dark chocolate and roasted malts with subtle oats. Finish is chocolate and roasty, dark malt bitterness is pretty nice, some dryish oat notes come in late. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, light carbonation. Tasty and well put together oat stout.

650ml bomber pours black in color with a small light beige head that leaves little lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate with some roasted grains and a chocolate malty sweetness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A solid stout, but nothing really special.

Found this bottle at corner store across from Bally’s while walking back from Ellis Island. Ann got acouple paper cups while I bought a.49 cent bottle opener and we drank it with JB and Patty. Smells and looks like a good oatmeal stout. Not too heavy. Malt and sweetness at the beginning and end. A nice beer of the style I like. .
