aceofhearts (1373), San Francisco, California, USA Nov 10, 2002 Pretty nice for a brewpub hefe. Cloudy yellow, thick smooth mouthfeel. Standard spicy banana-clove, silky finish. Best beer in the house. Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Feb 9, 2003 Cloudy orange look. Nutmeg nose. Fairly mellow flavor with just a hint of that weizen character. Decent. bitter (1137), Henderson, Nevada, USA Apr 12, 2004 on tap at brewpub: this one won a metal at the international beer festival in las vegas. dont know muvh about this festival, but it won. typical american wheat look, hazy yellow brown with a white head. the only beer they serve in a room temp glass. the rest all frozen beyond your taste buds. with a lemon on the lip. toss the lemon and try your beer. fresh nutty smell with some spice. on the palate a solid hefe. not much to write home about and a bit thinner then i like. seems the norm for most of their beers. like to see the beers this was up against in the festival. Andrew196 (1089), Anaheim Hills, California, USA Nov 12, 2002 Decent beer...very standard though....but drinkable nonetheless. Dogbrick (2229), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 20, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. Served with a lemon, this beer is a cloudy yellow color with a medium thin and fluffy white head that diminishes slowly. Small patches of lacing. Light yeast, fruit and wheat in the nose. Light, clean body with wheat, fruit and mild spice flavors. The finish is wheaty with a lightly spiced aftertaste. Pretty standard overall.
