COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed using 2-Row, wheat, Vienna and caramel malts and is hopped with Summit’s for bittering and flavor and Ahtanum for aroma. This IPA was also dry-hopped, meaning hops were put in the fermentors and serving tanks to give a big citrus and spicy aroma, with Ahtanum, Challenger and Chinook hops. Our IPA is an American style IPA that has a high amount of bitterness but is well balanced and very drinkable.

Bottle thanks to izzy. Pours with a clear golden body and a white head. Aromas are fruity, pine with an herbal spiciness. Flavors are bitter and really herbal (aggressive to the point of being abrasive Chinook flavors). Lively and dry.

Clear golden pour with a white head. A really nice fresh fruit nose of grapefruit, tangerine, and pineapple. Good tropical aromas, some floral hops, and bread. Nice and dry on the palate. Grapefruit and tangerine citrus notes, bread, light tropical fruits, and a light pine bitterness. Kind of grassy, however.

On draught at I Love Burgers in Vegas. The beer pours a slightly hazed orange color with a medium thin white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma is floral hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy and floral hops, sweet malt and fruit. The finish is short and leaves a slight metal and alcohol aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein courtesy of Travlr. Bittersweet orange, grapefruit and malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel finish. Nice blending. Very good - didn’t really expect to get a new state at a German beer tasting so was a nice surprise.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light caramel flavor with light earth and light pine. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Grapefruit and light earth lingers with light caramel and light pine.

22oz bomber pours copper with light tan head. The aroma has nice and bold and chewy resiny pine, spicy and grapefruit like hoppiness. Those aromatics are binding together with a modest level of sweet maltiness. Smells real nice. The taste is pleasingly similar with a great mix of pine hops, spicy heading into dank hops and grapefruit like citrus hoppiness. These notes are biased toward bitter hops but the flavor hops do carve out a bit of elbow room. Wow. This is a damn good IPA. I’m not sure if my expectations were just low or I was in the perfect mood for this. Nonetheless, well done. Yes, wow!

DuffMan (5192) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 29, 2012
Bottle. Medium golden colour, slightly hazy, average white foam cap.  Fairly typical West Coast-style IPA with nice grapefruity hop character and an assertive bitter finish. I actually liked this better than the Monsoon.

Bottle (bomber) at the Beerhive. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A very nice fruity and pine nose, the citrus hops are strong. A nice flavor as well; robust hops, bitterness throughout, pine, a light toasted malt background. Very nice, between a IIPA and IPA.
