A great imperial IPA. Thanks kathouse for this beauty. Pours a stunning hazy peach color with nice soft white head. Aromas are floral and citrus. Nice creamy mouthfeel. Solid malt backbone.. With a nice balanced hop flavor. Fantastic beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy orange amber with small creamy head. Hops prevail throughout, some floral notes as well, lingering bitter finish. Nice malt profile sits underneath.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I’m drinking this and I finally noticed that I didn’t have any real notice of what I was drinking - a sure sign of a less than average brew. I already know this is two in a row in the lame category for iipa’s from Teneya (that IPA was killer tho). Come ooooonnnn buffalo. Cloudy orange amber with a skiff and good lacing. You know - an uninspiring IPA almost pisses me off - what the fuck is the point?? Nose: creamsicle, cotton candy - both without being overly sweet, weak caramel, weaker candy canes. That was a serious struggle to find that stuff - how warm do I gotta let this go? Taste is lacking. This jockey game is a horrific watch. Near to medium bodied but only when warm. Some fruit, heat minus the alcohol, gf of some sort, oily, nonsweet caramel. Not bad but this is so forgettable. Easily worse than the one before this. Pretty much a pointless purchase.

Bomber at a hotel in Phoenix. Sediment on the bottom. Pale color with light foam. Smells were subdued but there. Taste was malty hops.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Resin and pine with a caramel bready backbone. Pale clear copper with a bubbly white head. Bitter, nutty, earthy and resinous with a bit of pine. The resin and earthy qualities is all you really get.

draft, excellent hop aroma, taste of grassy, earthy, citrus, pine. The malts where sweet and caramel. Balanced brew, full body, didn’t realize it was 8.5%abv.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours deep gold/orange, light haze. Big white head, lots of lace. Nose has pine, herbs. Taste has pine, earth, bit of malt sweeetness below. Hoppy finish with big pine and earthy hops, bit of citrus rind, a bit of alcohol heat and medium level bitterness. Pretty smooth mouthfeel. A good brew, a little different from most double IPAs, which is nice.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bomber into a round topped base pale ale glass from BJs in vegas, sanmpled in Vegas. Def not the dipa i was expecting, pours more like a full bodied orange pale ale, with fire and amber waves as the background. Taste is orange, sweet, fruity, not as hop dominant as i would have hoped. The abv is lingering in the background nicely, 8.5 is not really a factor. Aroma is spicy orange, then sweet malts, then hops flare around. Drinks more like a strong ale/belgian in my opinion, and thats whats this is for. Full bodied and drinkable in the fact that the orange dominantes and is fun. This is all cushioned by the whole hops that omit pine resin, and cedar. A fun contrast on the typicaly dipa im use to.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to tulip
Grapefruit, pine, and some spruce.
Light amber, thin creamy white head.
Initial impressions are of pepper and hops, then comes grapefruit and grain and some light honey. This could use a little more malt to balance it out, but it’s a fine beer.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #854 - December 23, 2013 - 650ml bottle from Coop, courtesy of a very nice customer, 8.5%. Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit hops predominant. Taste is extremely hop bitterness tempered with a pleasant citrusy sweetness that disguises the higher abv quite well. Glad this beer did not follow the adage and stay in Vegas.
