On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Pours a transparent bright golden bronze with a well-lacing, frothy white head. Sweet, lightly toasted caramel malty aroma has a good fresh hoppy bitterness. Starts sweet and candy-like with some mild fresh citrusy grapefruity green hops. Finishes sugary and bittersweet with a hint of drier, warming tartness. An average double IPA.

10th Annual SD Strong Ale Fest: Poured a lightly hazzed copper color with a thin off-white head. The aroma had a moderate amount of grapefruity hops. not too much and not too little. Caramel malt takes up the slack. Malty sweet flavor at the start. This gives way to a grapefruity middle. Dry and mildly bitter finish.
