COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For those not familiar with a Barleywine, it is a Strong Ale, originally brewed in England in the nineteenth century but is now brewed worldwide. The name Barleywine basically means that it is a beer as strong as wine. Guaranteed to warm you up on a cold evening! Brewed using premium 2-Row, CaraRed, Crystal, Carafoam, and Wheat malts. We also used Magnum, Cascade, Summit, and CTZ hops. Cheers!

Rust-amber appearance, decent head. Candied fruit nose, pear and apple Jolly Rancher, and Belgian candi sugar. Medium viscosity, quite hop bitter and sweet at the same time. This one seems as if it is at an awkward age. A bit younger, and it might have had the fresh zip of a double IPA, and another year or so, and this might have mellowed nicely as a barley wine.

Draught at the Tenaya Creek, Las Vegas, NV. Clear amber colour with a small white head. Strong dried fruits, fruity sweetness, mild bitterness, sugar and malt in the aroma. Not bad. The flavour is super sweet and strong. Warms a lot... almost burns. Dried fruits, sugar, bitterness, hops and malt. Nice one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very nice barleywine. Pours a clear ruby red, with a super thick grey head. Smells of apples, vanilla and caramel. Taste is very smooth and creamy, with lots of cherry, along with vanilla, cinnamon and caramel, with more cherry coming out in the finish. Paired with buffalo chicken pizza, brings out more cherry, barley, vanilla and alcohol. Good stuff.

Tap at Angel’s Trumpet. Reddish-brown pour with a small head that lingers nicely and eventually collect to a ring. Great aroma of caramel, toffee, pine, grass, and fruity candy. Tastes moderately sweet up front with lot of malt. Caramel, toffee, some dark fruit and some light chocolate too. Turns very hoppy in the finish. A touch harsh and boozy but not too bad. Big pine and grassy finish. Medium to full body. Solid american barley wine.

Part of a flight at the brewery - clear brown, small head, not much aroma but the alcohol is *right* *there* on this one. Very strong. Has a slick resinous mouthfeel. Tastes like I’m drinking straight whiskey.
