Dogbrick (2166), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 20, 2008 Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a clear amber-orange color with a medium thin and foamy white head that dissipates steadily. Large patches of lacing on the glass. Some hops and earthy malt in the nose. Medium-bodied with a fairly even ratio of hops and malt flavor. Light floral notes here and there as well. The finish is sweet malt with a touch of hops lingering in the aftertaste. Average overall.
Fantomasus (122), USA Mar 16, 2008 From a growler (which I now wish I hadn’t bought): Pours a very light amber with a thin head that lasts through out. Aromas of malt, hops, and pine. Flavor is more of the same with some earth and mustiness. Light dry finish. Not a bad beer but it was hardly worth the trip, and I live in Vegas. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA Jan 1, 2008 Consumed on draft at brewery, 12/30/07. Clear, medium gold. No lacing. Thin skin of foam. Metallic note in aroma with citrusy hops. Moderately hoppy on initial taste with malt character emerging after. Aftertaste of malt. Weird: reversed the usual order of malt and hop flavors! Regardless, it is well-balanced and smooth. Not bad and a little unusual to boot. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 1, 2008 on tap-pours a retaining off white head and gold color. Aroma is funky earthy/woody hops, earthy medium malt. Taste is earthy/woody hops, earthy medium malt. OK carbonation. Fully English style. pint_size (1001), Austin, Texas, USA Dec 31, 2007 12-1-07 tap
Overall, very okay. Golden amber color. Some slight bitterness that fades very quickly. Metallic hints up front - but that fades quickly as well. Very average - nothing special but easy to drink.
