Inspired by an original recipe created by Hugh Tennent in 1885 and brewed using malted barley, water and hops in the heart of Glasgow. It’s about as local as export lagers get.

Can 500ml from Parkhill cellars. A bit bland, but I had worse. Aromas of citrus, hay, and a hint of caramel. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness. Palate is oily, and medium bodied. Yellow, with a thin head.

Old rating from pub in Glasgow. This was generally a fairly standard pale lager. A little sweet and very light on the hops. Nothing very special.

Bottle to dimpled mug. Pours a light yellow, with sparse white head. Not much lacing. Pretty watery, however there is a decent amount of sweet malt flavors. There is a sweet aftertaste after each sip.

This is a lite beer, with a med white head. The hop note is very light, but over all not a bad beer.
