1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Canned. Golden coloured with fizzed head. Raw alcohol notes as though it was added back and cheap ingredients giving a nasty thin brew, Never again.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Golden with a rather small head. The aroma has notes of malt and some fruity hops - but not much. The flavour is smooth with a light sweetness, notes of malt and hints of fruity hops. Harmless and uncomplicated - and thatís about it!

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An ordinary lager, easily drinkable without too much of anything. However, I wonít buy it again of two reasons: a) In Norway, the price is twice that of domestic lagers / pilsener, while the beer isnít that much better (well, itís 0,3 - 0,5% stronger). b): When in Scotland, I will most certainly prefer a good Scottish ale to any lager!

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
On tap @ the Findlay Hotel, Fraserburgh. Pours golden with steady bubbles and some head. The nose has honey malt and the hops come through as a grassy or metallic note at the end. The taste has caramel and the metallic note is confirmed. The palate is spoilt somewhat by the metallic finish as itís not bad up to that point. Overall, just about drinkable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, from Rhythm & Booze, Cleethorpes.Label reads Tennentís 1885. Gold, thin but lasting white head and moderate condition. Barely discernable malt in the nose, low grain in the mouth with a touch of hop bitterness. Finish is quite dry with a chalky bitter note lingering.
