Bottle marked "Tennents Original Export Lager" at 5% abv. Wet grass aroma. Golden yellow colour with white head, quickly fades, some lacing. Taste is a bit sweet, bitter, watery. Nothing special. Typical pale lager.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 cyrenaica (790) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2012
500ml can
5.0% ABV as written on can
Can marked as "Tennent’s Original Export Lager" brewed by Caledonia/Tennent
I tried this beer on February 4, 2012 after purchasing from the Queen’s Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent medium gold colour with a thin white head which quickly disappeared. The aroma was grainy malt, vegetables and acids. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. The flavour was wretched and metallic. Very acidic and left me not able to discern much in the way of malt or hops. Possibly a drainpour.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 mkel07 (1797) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 4, 2012
500ml can. Pours with a big fluffy white head and a clear amber body. Wet hay aromas with not a lot else. Clean and crisp in the mouth but it does not have much going flirting the way of flavour. Okay without being great.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Strangebrewer (519) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2012
can. Import 5%. Poured clear liquid gold with a large white head. Grainy hay aroma. Mouthfeel is carbonated, light and slightly dry. Kinda plain grainy-macro start but has a nice bready malt flavour with a honey sweetness.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (2159) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 2, 2012
On tap pours a pale golden color with a 2 finger white head that settles down to a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild cereal grains and light hops. Taste is light malty sweet with a more pronounced hoppy bitterness than most pale lagers. Definitely one of the better lagers I have tried and recommend for others as a good tasting experience for this style.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Metalchopz (1427) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 1, 2012
Can from the LCBO at 5% ABV, says imported from Scotland (I guess they pumped it up for Canadian drinkers or maybe we are getting their 1885 Export Lager - not sure). Pours a golden colour with a big creamy white head that stays a while and leaves dirty lace. Matly nose on the corn side... with hints of adjunct. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Not much to the taste; light maltiness, with hints of hop that gives a touch of fruity flavour to it. Nothing really bad and probably a decent session brew in Scotland.
