4.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 freakydonkey99 (1) - Dublin, - FEB 12, 2002Now I’m not going to worry too much about the smell of a beer, as long as ah know its no gan aff. But stick pint of the old TL up on the bar, with a decent head and a glint of early morning winter sun through the riot of Co2 bubbles ... an ah’d hae tae say that looks pretty damn good tae me. Tastes awright an all and doesn’t stick to ma palate. So good I knock back another 4 in just over an hour.

Can. This is great if you need 10 beers and are on a limited buget. Otherwise steer clear.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 mzaar (884) - Varberg, SWEDEN - APR 24, 2013
Fat. Fruktansvärt tråkig öl. Nästan doftlös, inte mycket bättre i smaken. En viss maltsötma räddar upp det från ett totalt bottenbetyg.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 probstblueribbon (2378) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - APR 12, 2013
500 ml can from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear golden with a fairly large off-white head.
Aroma: Grain/cereal, quite tight, a touch of sulphur and maybe a wee hint ’o grassy hops.
Palate: Medium body, moderate carbonation, fairly smooth.
Flav.: Light grain/cereal, little else; dry with a sweet-ish feel and minimal bitterness, nothing much on the finish.
Dang, this is some bland shite.

440ml Can. Aroma of cereal. Taste of cereal and maybe some chemical/metal. Quite refreshing. Grew up on this so I still enjoy it up to a point.

On keg @ Simpsons, pours a clear lager golden with a one finger white head, aroma is cereals and not much else..metallic edge maybe. Taste is really not much at all tiny bitter but clean finish.
3.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 jd543 (118) - SCOTLAND - MAR 16, 2013
People may think it is blasphemous to rate this beer so highly, but perhaps growing up in Scotland has conditioned me to appreciate the lack of depth and chemical flavour of this lager. I don’t really care what other ’connoisseurs’ might say - sometimes a nice, fresh, crisp pint of tennents is the ultimate refreshment. I have had some pretty nasty smelling pints of tennents before, but as the most popular lager in the country, the high turnover means that the beer is nearly always fresh from the tap and goes down very smoothly. There maybe a stigma associated with tennents, but whatever more pretentious people might say, while I can appreciate good craft beer, I also appreciate tennents.
