0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Not nearly as good as the tennents scotch ale. This reminds me too much of a cheap domestic american standard. Flavor is skunky, and aftertaste resembles watery bud light. Not only was I unimpressed, I was disgusted at this speciman.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Medium-light grainy, hay, sweet-corn. Light metallic (may be from can), sulfur, floral.
Appearance: Brilliant, light gold body. Medium, white head. Fine bubbles, fair retention.
Flavour: Medium-light grainy, light floral. Slightly sweet, light bitterness. Medium-dry finish with a bit of sweetness and carbonic sting.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Easy drinking, but with a sweeter finish than most pale lagers. Although the sweetness if not "bad", it is just slightly too high. I am sure this is a great beer for people who do not like bitter lagers. Carbonation is slightly too low.
440 ml can, poured.
2A. International Pale lager.

*On tap in Dunlewy, Ireland as "Ice cold-version". Smooth and grainy brew. Not too deep with not much bitterness. Round and sessionable, but not very deep - especially not "ice-cold".

Ye olde Tennents Lager, where to start...
The first beer I ever tried and the lager I go for when there is no ales available in the pub Iím in. This stuff should probably be considered Scotlandís national drink.
This is by no means a great beer but I have a nostalgic attachment. When itís sunny outside and you find yourself in a West of Scotland beer garden nothing will quench your thirst quite like a pint of this. Cheep, cheerful and refreshing.
Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is citrus, slight copper, bread. Taste is lemony, bread, tinny, quite watery.
It may not be the best beer youíll ever drink but I enjoy it and I will continue to enjoy it. Long live the Tinnints aka pish water
