500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear golden yellow with average-sized white head. Aroma is mellow grains, light grass and hints of corn. Flavour is light bready grains, gentle grassiness and definite corn presence. Light-medium body. Classic LCBO option - totally forgettable Euro lager.

Bottle from b&m, Team Valley, Gateshead. Pale golden coloured with toffee and malty flavours with a light grassy and fruity finish. Rather thin tasting for itís ABV.

500mL can, bottom marked 30 SEP 14, mine at 5% abv. Nose sweet and vibrantly corny, pours rich clear golden with a sudsy off-white head. Watery taste semi-dry at first (but has something of a sweet residual) with corn and oily, tumbling malt; touch of dust and spice, citric and noble hops on the edges, mostly clean and manages to strike a nice middle. Alcohol well-integrated but what is detectable is a bit harsh. Still, I like it well enough for its aspirations.

Can - 500mL. Listed at 5% ABV. Gold pour with a short white head. Sweet nose with corn, cereal and flavored seltzer water. Taste is much better with soft sweet malt notes, faint hops, light corn and cereal grains. Body is light-medium with a strong bubbly carbonation. Ends with more cereal, sweet malt, light corn and faint hops. Not terrible.

This was picked up in my local Tesco after being reduced to clear, Iíd seen it on the shelf a few times but not being a great (mass produced) lager drinker, and it being a 6pack, I left it where it was! In the past however, I rather liked Tennents Gold Bier, and I kinda miss it, "This could be the same thing relabelled at a slightly lower ABV" I thought ...thatís why I bought the reduced pack!! This isnít Gold Bier :( itís pretty much a slightly fuller bodied version of the bog standard "lager" produced by Tennentís, and as I REALLY donít like that, I cant say I took to this! The only problem I have now is how to dispose of the other 5 bottles...I hate waste, but this may just end up down the sink!

Can from Intermarche, Lagoa, Algarve. Artisanal Highland product, yes? Gold with a fast diminishing scummy tuft of foam. Aroma of envelope and refuse. Flavour has appreciable bitterness besides the corn-flavoured native offerings; soap, lemon hints, icing sugar, poison death. Olive oil soap and conifer traces. Dead in seconds in the sun. Sits very comfortably amongst the borderline drinkable/undinkable pale lagers of Portugal.

Draft at Fado. Clear amber gold with a large frothy white head. Lots of snowy lace left behind. Toasty wheat beer with some mild hops. Hits several dark wheat notes with a generally lager feel. Clean. Not awful. Not all that interesting though. Bit above most Euro-Lagers.

Not bad for what it is. No aroma or hop presence. Slightly metallic and malty, with medium carbonation. Slick going down, which is odd for a pale lager. Wouldnít go out of my way for this, but Iíd take over many other macros.

can. 5%. Poured clear liquid gold with a large white head. Grainy hay aroma. Mouthfeel is carbonated, light and slightly dry. Kinda plain grainy-macro start but has a nice bready malt flavour with a honey sweetness.

Pale gold with a voluminous head and plenty of sparkle. Appears to be typical Eurolager. Aromas of cold metal, flour and grainy malt. Not terribly much flavour and reflective of the aromas. Not any reason to remember this beer. No faults, just unmemorable.
