1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
This was picked up in my local Tesco after being reduced to clear, I’d seen it on the shelf a few times but not being a great (mass produced) lager drinker, and it being a 6pack, I left it where it was! In the past however, I rather liked Tennents Gold Bier, and I kinda miss it, "This could be the same thing relabelled at a slightly lower ABV" I thought ...that’s why I bought the reduced pack!! This isn’t Gold Bier :( it’s pretty much a slightly fuller bodied version of the bog standard "lager" produced by Tennent’s, and as I REALLY don’t like that, I cant say I took to this! The only problem I have now is how to dispose of the other 5 bottles...I hate waste, but this may just end up down the sink!

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can from Intermarche, Lagoa, Algarve. Artisanal Highland product, yes? Gold with a fast diminishing scummy tuft of foam. Aroma of envelope and refuse. Flavour has appreciable bitterness besides the corn-flavoured native offerings; soap, lemon hints, icing sugar, poison death. Olive oil soap and conifer traces. Dead in seconds in the sun. Sits very comfortably amongst the borderline drinkable/undinkable pale lagers of Portugal.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Fado. Clear amber gold with a large frothy white head. Lots of snowy lace left behind. Toasty wheat beer with some mild hops. Hits several dark wheat notes with a generally lager feel. Clean. Not awful. Not all that interesting though. Bit above most Euro-Lagers.

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not bad for what it is. No aroma or hop presence. Slightly metallic and malty, with medium carbonation. Slick going down, which is odd for a pale lager. Wouldn’t go out of my way for this, but I’d take over many other macros.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
can. 5%. Poured clear liquid gold with a large white head. Grainy hay aroma. Mouthfeel is carbonated, light and slightly dry. Kinda plain grainy-macro start but has a nice bready malt flavour with a honey sweetness.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pale gold with a voluminous head and plenty of sparkle. Appears to be typical Eurolager. Aromas of cold metal, flour and grainy malt. Not terribly much flavour and reflective of the aromas. Not any reason to remember this beer. No faults, just unmemorable.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml can. A variation of the beer on file. This is 5% alcohol and the can is yellow and silver. The bar code points to this entry though.
Scent of sweet hay. A little hazy and golden with light carbonation and a thin white head with some lacing. Slight sweet on the tongue and just lightly bitter.
A slightly slick texture. Refreshing. Enjoyable.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
50cl can from el corte ingles, lisbon. Gold color with thin white head. Body is medium. Taste is light bitter and sweet. Aroma is actually not as simplistic as usual, it’s light fruited. It’s not awesome but it’s not bad.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured up into the Tennent’s glass I found in Value Village five years ago, and has been waiting for this chance ever since. Aroma is an unpleasant corn smell, almost apple juice-like. Beer is super fizzy, with a big white head that looks exactly like soap bubbles. Taste is not good, but I’m going to go eat pretzels, so maybe it won’t matter.
