tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 19, 2006 Mild notes of dark malt through the corn in the very light aroma. Clear dark amber brown coloured body topped by a dense, fine bubbled, off white, nitro head that lasts throughout but does not stick to the sides of the glass. Sweet molasses and candy flavour with a hint of dark malts in the finish. Flavour is pretty bland and smooth due to the strong nitro service. Light bodied but smooth, soft bubbled and bland in the mouth. Not really much about this says Scotch Ale (or Wee Heavy as it was listed). This seems more like an anemic brown ale on nitro. Served on draught at the Horseshoe Inn in Uddingston, Scotland (May-06). Pub (4102), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Oct 4, 2004 Keg at Guildford Arms, Edingburgh. Reddish brown swirly opaque with forced cream head. Sweet sugary beer with an underlying boiled maltiness. Overly smooth with the nitrogen, very poor fare. Sigmund (1961), Hafrsfjord, Norway Mar 9, 2002 Even though it’s a macro brew, it’s still very, very good
