| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2008 33cl bottle from Plonkers, Derby. Black with a thick loose tan head and a ruby tint. Aroma of sweet roasted malts and some chocolate - there is none of the bitterness that often comes with over-roasting. The flavour is oily with hints of chocolate and coffee mingling with plums and other soft fruit. Then a dry, warming, bitter finish develops with a touch of port.
A tasty stout, nicely balanced and lacking the harsh coffee edge of many others. DragonStout (1386), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2006 Bottled in Belize (why this beer is in Belize, I will never know). Really thick and sweet beer. Tasted like straight up chocolate. Almost hard to drink for myself. It definately had a complex palate that was superior to many other beers, but the flavour didn’t really do it for me. The tastes were overpowering and left the taste in my mouth for a little too long.
