2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
0.33l botttle from a supermarket in Monfalcone. This is a crystal clear dark golden one. Not as much as an unfiltered particle or a hint of blurriness. It also has a big bubbly just off-white head that’s lacing down the glass. It does really not smell that much. Light grainy and malty perhaps with a hint of both caramel and thin hops. Not horrible, just not all that much. It has a thin oily texture and it’s average carbonated. Quite boozy at first in the flavor! Then, it calms down after a while and becomes more sweet like. Malty and a hint of caramel also here in the flavor. Not an extreme bitterness, but it’s there in the boozy finish and aftertaste. Did not expect much of this, but I have to say I got more than I was expecting. 09.06.2012

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
330ml bottle from local bar in Calabria, Italy. Pours a golden copper with a medium slowly dissipating white head. Aroma of toasted double malted malts, barley, grains with some strong tones of fruity alcohol esters. Palate is a medium to full body, slightly astringent dry mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Finish is a combination of toasted malt, grains ending with a good amount of boozy alcohol fruity notes. Overall a bit boozy and sweet, an interesting brew to try once

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Color oro intenso con classica fragile schiuma bianca. Aroma debole, lievemente maltoso e moderatamente alcolico.

Pretty decent alcohol delivery system. Nothing much to look at. Sweet smell. Little alcohol burn, sweet corn water flavor. Toss a few of these back and you’re all set to rock-n-roll!

50cl can. Pours pale gold with a billowing cream coloured head; the aroma has grain, stewed vegetables and alcohol; the flavours not to bad with sour grains and a syrupy texture; and the alcohol isn’t too apparent on the warming finish.
