Test vom 15.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,6,3,8,7 - 6,70

Color oro intenso con classica fragile schiuma bianca. Aroma debole, lievemente maltoso e moderatamente alcolico.

This beer is a staple of the tramp diet and I am a regular drinker of this tipple. I first tried this in the hope that it would taste a bit better than Special Brew. How wrong I was. This 9.0% beer has the signature paint stripper smell and taste bud-killing palate to match. However, with most other high strength beers, it can become bearable with frequent drinking. It smells like a mixture of cheese, gasoline with a little bit of actual beer in there, the can it comes in is unmistakable with SUPER written all over it to make sure nobody overlooks the trampy-ness of this beer. It can be seen in the hands of the homeless everywhere and is gaining a strong rep amongst the students out there today, partially thanks to all the street corner shops selling it for £1:20 a pop. Nethertheless, this beer is a definite must try for all, once you can get over the cardboard like taste and the hammering hangover, this head spinning potion is a sure fire way to drunk-dome and will soon be one of your favourite super beers.

Well, it’s not so good. But it’s quite inoffensive as well.

Golden color. Malt and bread aroma. Sweet, oily, alcoholic. Strong final bitterness. A bit too cloying.

Canned. An orange gold coloured lager which pours with a large whitish head, but diminishes to a pool of tan bubbles. The aroma is sweet and a little industrial with perfumed notes. The taste is also sweet and features strong alcohol tastes. There is lots of orange fruit flavours in the background like other European Malt Liquors. Obviously strong and it goes straight to the head, but nowhere near as bad as some others have remarked or as I was expecting.

Blonde/orange colour, with a fast disappearing head. Not much aroma, hidden by alcohol. The taste is dominated by sweetness, with hop presence from low ton non existent. Not so ugly like many says, in this style there’s worst, however not an unforgettable beer.
