COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Teppisten-bier is a complex belgian quadrupel with a syrupy body and notes of dark fruits, hazelnut, sweet chocolate and spices. The name is a joke from italian word "teppista" (hooligan).

Drank with Marijn and roommates before going to tutti 19-12. Okay beer, nice and dark but a bit too sweet.

Brown sugar, lots of it, with sticky and so what sour fruit. Like a red apple fruit pie. Not so bad, interesting approach. Not overly sweet tasting, but fulfilling. (33cl bottle from QV.ID)

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2015 Opaque, dark brown color with beige, creamy head. Aroma has belgian yeast character with raisins and booze. Taste starts sweet, with dried fruits and caramel, also a slight fruity tartness, but finishes on more balanced tone, getting a bit of roasty bitterness. Body is medium to heavy and has a medium carbonation. Fortunately, the booze is not as noticeable in the taste. Overall this is a pretty well made quad but doesn’t really stand up to the greats of the style.

Bottle. Brown with a fat coat of beige head. Aroma of raisins, chestnut meal, dough, brown sugar, figs. Quite creamy texture, fairly high carbonation. taste has sweet fruit and dark sugars, earthy nutty notes and a spicy and slightly metallic note that bothered me a little at first but seemed better integrated after a while. A good and characterful beer that could become a great one.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2015 A stumble upon find, gloried in its almost 90’s inkjet ’copy’ label with no hint of the ABV. Into a chalice at cellar temperature which is about two minutes out the fridge here in Perth. Deepest brown with a hint of burgundy. Compact and tight; tannish and held high for the length with a fine lace. Nutty, husky, weedy and phenolic nose which switches gear to reveal notes of biltong, praline, marzipan, rhubarb crumble complete with crust - and no alcohol, bang! Unnnnnnntil now..., boozy palate; needs a good lie down, a few Aspirin and some time to sober up. Creamy, frothy and full with a plummy, grappa meets fruit wine tanginess. Chocolate in there, milky with ample savoury fruit mince. Light yeastiness upon the mid-palate; very earthy, topsoil. Rusty, blood tannins are soft but definitely noted. Vinous in the swallow, plump and fruity with such warmth but not too hot to be uncomfortable. Building nuttiness is sweet, softly earthy and leaning towards a marzipan and chewy praline. Carbonation is quite high for a Quad, but it softens as it heads south. A few years to mellow and this could be gold. A likeable mess! (33cL, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Birra spettacolare, con tutti i sentori tipici di una quadrupel. Liquoroso, marzapane, caramello, uvetta, maltato. L’aroma è avvolgente e invita decisamente alla bevuta. La schiuma è beige, abbondante, fine e persistente. Un altro centro della White Pony!

Pours a brown beer with a tan head. Aroma has some sweetness and peppercake, some yeast smell. Taste is very sweet. It coats your mouth.
