On cask at the Buddha. Nose is cherries, some alcohol, plums, dates, and brown sugar. Pour is a very murky brown, mud-like body with no head. Taste is mainly alcohol and some dates, with a touch of sweet cherry hidden in the background. Alcohol. Not bad.

On Cask at Funky Buddha. Pours hazy dark brown with tan head. Aromas of chocolate, toffee, caramel, roasted malts, and faint cherries. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, brown sugar, dark fruit, and a little cherry. Holds up pretty good for a cask, but lacks complexity of the oak aged version I had last week. Still a pretty nice beer.

Cask… Pours murky brown with a mid-sized, flimsy, white head. Decent retention. The bouquet is a decadent collection of brown sugar, dates and milk chocolate with only a rumor of black cherries. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is a bit more harsh, biting and boozy than the oak-aged version. Not very fruity. Finishes coarse with a slight alcohol bite.
