4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 scottyshades (126) - Parkland, Florida, Florida, USA - JUL 2, 2012
On-tap at Coffee District. What a great brewery TBC is shaping up to become! Need more info on their beers/brewery though
A: Pours a bright lemon color with a big, tight, creamy head. Excellent retention. Really a pretty beer
S: Very enticing aroma of orchard fruit, lemon (citrus) zest, and earthy/grassy hops balanced by the flavor of malted rye.
T: The flavor is a delicate malt backbone that lends a little rye and a touch of sweetness. Hops are grassy and lemony. Bitterness is there, but definitely restrained. Well rounded and certainly delicious
MF/O: Creamy medium body, smooth carbonation, lingering bitter lemony finish. Overall a fantastic summer offering and a great IPA - highly recommended. Great job TBC!

I picked up a growler of this at the brewery today and now it’s time to sit back and enjoy. It pours a fairly cloudy yellow/gold... Maybe the color of an apricot’s skin. Aromas are peach, some hop funk, a little grassy and a touch of pine. Flavor is pleasant, but could be a little more robust. It comes across as a little watery and underdeveloped for something I would call an IPA, but it’s a darn fine summer refresher.

Draft... Murky golden ale with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. The bouquet offers lemon, a mélange of citrus peels and rye graininess. Medium-bodied with a crisp mouthfeel and stinging carbonation. The flavor presents bitter citrus rinds and piths with a spicy rye accent. Crisp, bitter, dry finish.
