0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20
Wasn’t horrible....but was more like a Zima or something. Obvious citric smell that does not come from yeast, ofcourse. Highly carbonated, yellow in color. Won’t buy again.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2009 Bottled, brewed in Russia by Tinkoff. My 300th rating serves as a warning: Tequiza is apparently being licensed to other countries. This Russian version does have a distinctly lime and agave note. But there’s still just no real reason for it to exist. Just buy a damn margarita. Interesting that the beer appears on their original Russian website, but when you switch to the English version, it’s gone. And for an outfit that claims craft brewing pretensions, what’s with the clear bottles? (Okay, this one was in green bottles, but you get the point)

bottle. The pour is light toilet water. Aroma is just flat citrus soda with skunk. The flavor is just a bowl of Fruit Loops soaked in flat off-brand citrus soda. This is pretty terrible, but not the most offensive beer I’ve had.

Lotsa artificial lime flavor in there. Not as sweet as Zima. Very drinkable and a good alternative for your girlfriend if she wants to feel like she’s drinking tequila. I don’t mind this ’brew’.

Bottle. Pours a pale golden color with a white head. Aroma of lemon/lime and notes of citrus. Flavor follows the aroma with a light body and a watery texture. BAH

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Clear color with a tad of yellow. Lime aroma, fizzy mouthfeel. Tastes of lime and ends sweet. This should be avoided at all costs.

I would rather just drink a shot of Sauza and drink a Corona, two enthusiastic thumbs down.

I had some of these a while back with my brothers. I always thought that it was a bad Mexican beer. I did not know that it was a bad ripoff of a bad Mexican beer. (See Corona, same thing)

This was bad. It’s main characteristic was its forced artificial lime flavor. I can’t believe Miller ripped it off with Chill.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2004 The beer after escaping the 12-ounce bottle sets in the glass a pallid yellow with a modest frothy white head and after its decomposition, the left over lace forms a thin sheet upon the glass. Nose is malt dominated, sweet and clean, the start is sweet and the grain profile light, top is thin as they come. Finish is strikingly acidic, the hops mild but pleasant, aftertaste dry, can’t believe people actually like this beer, no accounting for some peoples lack of taste.
