COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

This pours a pinkish/red color with a slight, light pink head. There is a strong aroma of sweet cherries. The taste is smooth to the point where there is almost no carbonation. There isn’t much to let you know this is a beer, as it drinks and taste more like a cherry desert drink. Drinks very smooth and tastes delicious. This is either a hit or miss with the beer geek crowd.

Cloudy pink in color like pureed watermelon. Very bright and clean cherry aroma. Tasty sour cherry flavor with a touch of sweetness, like a sparkling cherry wine. Overall, it’s not my style but I’m definitely digging it. Nice!

Pours a deep, hazy rose-pink with a high pale pink head. Nose is intensely cherry in the pie and spice spectrum. Good acid, some bitterness on the finish to balance the sweetness, and finishes clean and bright. The fruit is excellent. This is pretty darn good.

Thought this had a nice pink color. Nose was cherries with a bit of tartness. Lots of sweet cherry with some tart bsck end. Easy yo drink. Didn’t think it was too sweet at all.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 3/2015. Pours hazy reddish orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light pink head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of sweet/tart cherry, berry, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, candi sugar, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of cherries, spices, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate malt notes; with good strength. Taste of sweet/tart cherry, berry, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, candi sugar, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruit tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of sweet/tart cherry, berry, apple, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, candi sugar, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of cherries, spices, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from tart/spiciness as well. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/acidic, and lightly creamy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a nice Belgian fruit beer. All around good robustness and balance of cherries, spices, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle @ home. Pink to purple colour with a pink head. Smells cherry, candy, sweet, sugary. Tastes very sweet, almost sodapop (cassis, cerise) cherry, candy. It’s a fun beer. Fizzy carbo, medium body.

Shared 11.2 oz. bottle poured to small snifters, displaying a hazed, reddish copper hue, with a modest layer of white head foam that reduced quickly to a bubbly ring and light film, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was pronounced cherry, somewhat maraschino-like, and tartness. The taste was similar and just as expressive, with a nice creaminess to the mouthfeel, not overly sweet, medium bodied, and lively, but non-fizzy carbonation. Thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was, a tasty, dessert/aperitif-like fruit beer.
