This monster was created with some of the best chocolate and roasted malts to create the perfect blend of stout fullness and minimal fruit esters. This beer will have you trying to decide if you like fullness or the myriad of coffee and chocolate undertones more. It will also have the other stout brewers gathering the torches and storming our door.

Draft at Terminal BrewHouse. Poured dark brown with an average creamy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Solid roasted coffee and chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Solid roasted balanced flavor with a smooth average sweet finish of moderate duration. Nice find during visit to Chattanooga.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours dark brown with beige head. It has a roasty coffee aroma with some chocolate, some ash, smoke, and beef notes. The flavor is a pleasant roastiness with a hint of oaty graininess. There’s ample ashy and earthy hop bitterness leading to a clean, dry finish. Quite a tasty stout.

Black, thin tan head. Aroma is coffee and Oreo Cookie. Perhaps Oreo dunked in a cup of coffee, then a piece of the Oreo breaks off and you drink the coffee anyway because you really don’t feel like getting up and getting more coffee, and it ends up tasting pretty good? Yeah, something like that. Flavor is basically a repeat of that whole coffee / Oreo thing I just said, plus some nice dryness in the finish. Good Stuff.

On draft at the brewpub. Poured a black color with a half finger of tan head that lingered for the duration of the pour. The aroma was mainly roasted malt, but a hint of chocolate was present. The flavor was very roasty, with quite a bit of chocolate and a simple bitter finish. This was the best beer of the bunch. Very balanced and enjoyable.

On tap. Pours near black. The aroma has hints of soy sauce, meat, roast, oats, and dark chocolate. Slick palate. Lots of bacony flavors and chocolate are apparent, but also a vegetal twang which is my only complaint about the beer.
