This monster was created with some of the best chocolate and roasted malts to create the perfect blend of stout fullness and minimal fruit esters. This beer will have you trying to decide if you like fullness or the myriad of coffee and chocolate undertones more. It will also have the other stout brewers gathering the torches and storming our door.

One of thee best stouts I’ve tasted on tap. This is a favorite of mine brewed right here in my town of Chattanooga. Keep up the great work!

A good solid stout. A pint draft pour almost black with a nice head and complex flavours.

Sample from pub. In my opinion, this was the best beer poured the day I visited. Poured dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate. Taste is a nice full-bodied oatmeal chocolate stout. Lots of chocolate and malt goodness. Mouth is full and delicious and creamy. Overall, an excellent brew.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this oatmeal stout. It had a very strong coffee/espresso influence, with a nice balance of bitter/sweet. It was not as thick feeling as I anticipated, but very impressive stout for this new brewpub.

Appearance: Dark brown, near black body with a smallish, off-white head. Smell: Aroma of roasted malts with nicely aromatic notes of chocolate and breakfast blend coffee. Taste: Roasted barley flavor with just a touch of burnt graininess precedes tastes of coffee and dark chocolate. Mild sweetness throughout. Roasty, lightly earthy bitterness. A tad chalky prior to the otherwise roasty, bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: The final beer of the evening at Terminal Brewhouse is a darn likable stout. Roasty and smooth and a pleasure to drink.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2010 I must say that this was unexpectedly amazing. I previously have felt that some stouts can over do the coffee flavors, but this one was a perfect blend. A very full body, gorgeously dark. The aroma was good and had small, off-white head.

Draft at the source. Opaque dark brown color, beige head with solid lacing. Nice aroma of malted milk balls dipped in coffee. Taste is espresso, dark cocoa. Very tasty.

This one was my favorite of the evening. Poured a black color with some ruby hints and a beige head. The aroma contained some chocolate and espresso. The flavor was quite bitter and roasty with some oatmeal, espresso, and chocolate present. The finish was more bitter than sweet. Overall a very nice stout.

On draft at the brewpub. Poured a black color with a half finger of tan head that lingered for the duration of the pour. The aroma was mainly roasted malt, but a hint of chocolate was present. The flavor was very roasty, with quite a bit of chocolate and a simple bitter finish. This was the best beer of the bunch. Very balanced and enjoyable.
