On tap yesterday at the TG brewpub on a beautiful summer night. This stout was a perfect comeback to the buffalo burger. I’m tasting roast malt, root beer, hops. slight dark khaki head. a little drying on the tongue but proper thickness & a hint of sweet. i taste roast malt, dark coffee, wood smoke, an oaken sour. I was wondering if this might be in the imperial stout category, but here its quite a bear, thick, easy drinking, walking an edge or two. just might br my best (non-imperial) stout.

Tap at TFD Boise: Nearly a black pour with a nice creamy brown head. Very nice bits of lacing. Aroma is heavy on the roast with light amounts of coffee. Taste is again roasty with light coffee and a nice bittersweet cocoa sensation. Well balanced in flavor and has a nice creamy feel. Really quite enjoyable.

Black beer with a great tan head. Coffee and roast on the aroma. Light sweetness too. Mocha, roast, chocolate flavors. A little cola flavors too. A touch of earth/roasted bitterness in the finish. Nice drinker.

On tap at source in Enterprise, OR--Deep dark black, with a hint of amber and a great-looking grey-brown head. Chocolaty, creamy, muddy, and delicious. Very nice beer!

On Tap at Flying Pie in Boise. Pitch black with a very thick dense tan head. Nice roasted aroma with lots of chocolate, tootsie roll and Flavor is sharp roasted smokey goodness. Pretty full body, smooth palatte and soft carbonation. Leaves a slightly green hopppy bitterness at the end. A great middle weight stout.

Draft: Black but with brown highlights, 1 finger tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and a nice fresh bread smell. Flavor is of roasty coffee with bittersweet chocolate notes and biscuits! I really like the biscuit flavor through this that separates it from other stouts. Its not real sweet and not dry either. A quite balanced brew.

On tap at Fire on the Mountain. Pours dark bakers chocolate brown with a tall tan head. Very roasty aroma with bitter chocolate notes. Well balanced brew with a heavy palate and sweet roasty finish. Great stout that is all around solid.

I loved this stout. Draught at alehouse. Lekker malty aroma. Dark with lasting tan head. Pleasant flavour malty with notes of coffee, bittersweet chocolate. Lasting finish. The only solution when the class is empty is call for another.

Decent stout, rich and well balanced. Big flavors on the palate. Lots of rich sweet chocolate, and a right amount of coffee roastiness. Love the hops coming through in the finish. Suprsingly good stout from a mediocre producer.
