ratman197 (2174), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jun 23, 2008 Bottle poured a hazy gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of straw, lemon zest and a hint of pepper. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finiush. Flavors of straw, lemon zest and a hint of pepper with a smooth dry lightly bitter finish. Reid (981), Salem, Oregon, USA Jun 16, 2008 Golden beer with a small white head.
Peppery, spicy hop aromas, some malts.
Falvour is mostly thick sweet malts , backed by peppery hoppiness, curious long lasting mild bitter ness.
Nice on the palate, quite smooth, almost silky.
Overall a nice Golden ale...i dont think this can be considered an "ESB". bhensonb (2713), Woodland, California, USA Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Hazy, light golden color with a white head. Light citrus hop aroma, backed by some light malt. Thin to medium body with fizzy/creamy carbonation. Flavor is mild malt with lemon citrus hop, and noble hop. Finish is dry and decently bitter. Leaves a spice tingle in the mouth. Skyview (2641), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jun 7, 2008 Received 12-oz bottle from Liquid Solutions.biz in Portland, Oregon. Pours a semi-clear golden yellow brew with an average sized white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and ring. Aroma of golden grain malts, a touch of citrus zest, some light fruit and a touch of lemon. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, a touch of lemon zest and some grassy hops. Finish has a mild white bread dough aftertaste with some remaining citrus zest that slowly disappears. Gooney (18), Oregon, USA Jun 2, 2008 12 oz bottle from New Seasons - Poured yellow. Smells a bit like a macrobrew; PBR? Tastes better, though. Nice balance. Good summer beer.
