Jul 8, 2009 Hazy soft yellow, small white head. Little honeydew, little sawdusty aroma. Very ’golden’. Some grapefruit and black pepper, like a breakfast gone wrong. Maybe Brits would like this, but I want my bitters to have some bite. Where’s the hops? I can see the commercials now. Earthy base throughout.

May 31, 2008 Bottle... Poured pale, yellow with a white head. Herbs and grains on the nose. Crisp and refreshing palate-very thirst quenching. Flavors of lemon grass and other citrus note that blend with the hops nicely. Pretty mild beer, not as bad as I thought it would be.

Aug 21, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear light gold color with a thin head covering. Aroma is cider-y with some faint bitter hops and some spiced alcohol. Taste is a letdown, sort of a flat, cider bitter.

Jun 16, 2008 Golden beer with a small white head.
Peppery, spicy hop aromas, some malts.
Falvour is mostly thick sweet malts , backed by peppery hoppiness, curious long lasting mild bitter ness.
Nice on the palate, quite smooth, almost silky.
Overall a nice Golden ale...i dont think this can be considered an "ESB".

Jul 22, 2009 12 oz bottle from Market of Choice. Pours out a clear, light yellow with almost no head. Aroma is light citrus and some grainy notes. Flavor has citrus, pepper, grain. A little bitter but not much, more in the British way of calling a beer "bitter". Thin mouth, fairly refreshing.
