From a 12 oz bottle, pours a small head on a dark brown body. Medium mouth feel and low carbonation. The aroma is a bit of yeast and fruit. Nice warmth of alcohol and sharpness at the finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - APR 24, 2013
Bottle:   Dirty caramel, amberish hues, large frothy tannish head, nice lacing.   Candied citrus peel and caramel malt nose.   Smells tasty.   A bit of an astringent pithy citrus peel start, fades quickly, leaving
a slightly mealy/grainy malt background.   Smidgen of earthiness too.   Light alcohol, but it fades quickly.   Warming finish.   Not as malty/heavy/smooth as I would have liked.   However, its not light either.
A little rough around the edges.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish is a little astringent, biting pith and citrus peel.   Decent bruiser, but could stand to be smoother.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 brenn79 (1198) - Idaho, USA - JAN 11, 2013
12 oz. bottle- Pours very cloudy with a creamy tan one finger head that reduces. Aroma is malty, caramel, sweet and somewhat tangy, some wood. The taste is the same, creamy and malty, moderate dry bitterness. Body is medium to almost full, carbonation is medium high. Overall I liked it, not the best winter warmer, but enjoyable.

12 oz. bottle. Dark brown with a medium, tan head. The aroma is caramel, cut grass, chalk, and milk chocolate. The flavor is malty sweetness, with a nice mild bitterness in the finish. Medium body, a little astringent, and thick. Overall, this is a nice winter warmer, with a delicious low-level bitterness.

12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy brown with a thick beige head with good retention; leaves a little lace. Aroma consists of cooked cabbage, caramel. Taste is malty sweet with a lightly bitter finish; a bit garbagey. Nothing wrong with the palate. Overall, an unimpressive winter warmer--a bit boring.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Fatehunter (750) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Half finger of head on a dark and cloudy brown colored body.
Smell is all rich dark fruit with a little barnyard yeast.
Strong flavor of plum. Alcohol and bitterness bring up the end.
Crisp texture with a lower carbonation and medium body.
A nice dig on the Old Ale style. A winner in the Winter Ale category.

Out of the bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a light brown head. Smell is a little sweet and malty. This beer is a very good mix between sweet and bitter. A very good seasonal from a good brewery.

Bottle: The aroma consists of toffee, caramel, light wood, and some oxidation. It pours a somewhat cloudy orangish-brown with a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin film. The flavor starts with caramel and toffee. The finish has some aged citrus hops and oxidation. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, it tastes like a aged and oxidized Barley Wine.
