Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours hazy dark glowing amber with a beige creamy head. Aroma is quite malty with some floral aspects. Med body. Flavor is an English ESB morphing into a barley wine. Quite nice.

Bottle. A good winter brew. Lots of fruit and malt up front balanced out with the hops. Smooth drinking. Light bitter finish with a slight alcohol burn. Tasty.

12 oz single from "Lifesource". S.Salem. $1.75 THis beer is listed as 8.6% on the bottle Dark murky brown/amber ale with a lovelly thick light tan head. Pretty hoppy aromas..resiny,spruce like type...a little caramel malt. Despite the hoppy nose the flavour is full on chewy, toffee, caramel maltiness..hops you can feel them underneath..stopping this from being over sweet. Nice palate..strong and smooth..very chewy. Overall a very very nice malty winter ale.

Pours hazy brown with nice cream head. Hops in the nose along with dark fruit and brown sugar. Also agree with another rater who found butter and carmel notes as well. Nice silky mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Plenty of balance in the taste with rich malty flavors and enough hops backbone to back them up. Grassy hops notes and dark fruit with brown sugar and carmel. Nice long bitter finish. This one’s a keeper.

pours a hazy cola brown color. there is that traditional strong ale profile along with a touch of sweetness standing out. powered by malt but doesn’t quite warm the cheeks as I expected.

Growler served in tulip. 2009 Vintage on Christmas 2010. Dark, dense amber-brown pour with a medium sized light beige head that slowly retreats leaving, excellent lacing. Sweet heavy malt nose of caramel, boozed prunes, brown sugar, and resiny hops. Medium-full body and complex texture. The sweet palate fades smoothly to a long, bitter finish. This is delicious!

Growler at LS X. Brown with a light tan head. Caramelly brown sugar aroma. Tastes roasty and caramelly, with more brown sugar, and a bit of an and spicy herbal finish to it.

Growler, with a huge thanks to bvc! Pours a murky brown with orange highlights and a moderate yet lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is more hoppy than expected, with lots of grass, hay, earth, citrus and a little caramel. Flavor is more grassy and earthy hops, a little caramel sweetness. Not super complex or anything, but dangerously drinkable. Thanks again Brandon!
