Tap at Concordia Ale House. Hazy brown in color with a modest off-white head and minimal lacing. Pleasant aroma mixes a dark fruit tone with citrus from the hops I presume. Medium bodied with a lower carbonation level. Pit fruit, raisin and modest alcohol in flavor with a nice hop bitterness towards the finish.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: OCT 10, 2013 Rose 7 Raindrop in Portland. Cloudy dark red/brown color with a dark tan head. Very strong and solid nose of woody plums, all sorts of alcohol, plums, dark fruit and wood with a very noticable cascade hop note. Strong flavor initially, seems high alcohol... wood, scotch, strong and thick texture, dry and scratchy near the finish... this is a great winter ale.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2008 Updated: I havent had this in a while, but the new version did away with any spices that I picked up before, now just a winter big hop strong ale, different but beautiful in its own way.
On tap at the Rose and Raindrop in Portland. Pours a dark red/cranberry, with a fast falling off-white head. Aroma has big hints of spicy hops, light chocolate, just a bit of roastiness. Taste starts sweet and malty, slightly roasty and smoky, some nice holiday spice follows through then finishes with a nice bitterness/crisp hops. Smooth brew with a medium thickness, great holiday brew.
