Terminal Gravity made all the bottled beer and Double Mountain made all the draft. GRAVITY MOUNTAIN combines the breweries’ two house yeasts, their unique base malts, and some of their signature hops to make a strong, blond-colored IPA that’s aggressively hoppy and satisfying. It’s a true marriage of two brewery identities.

dfearnley (1826) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 3, 2012
12 oz bottle to pint glass Beautiful flowery, caramel and resin hoppy aroma with a slight banana sweetness. The colour is a pale golden amber with a thin white head. The taste is slightly sweet and full on long bitter with accompanying acidity. The palate is a medium bodied slick texture, finishing with a bitter astringency. Even at 5 months old this packs a nice hoppy punch.

Pous a golden color with minimal head. Smell is very mild and balanced. There is some yeast floating in it. This could be because it has been in the fridge for a while. A very nicely balanced beer.

marcus (9231) - Sacramento, California, USA - AUG 6, 2012
Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours cloudy blonde with a thin off-white head and a citrus aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a bitter citrus finish.

bhensonb (14170) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 6, 2012
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy light amber with a slight white head. Aroma of light pitted fruit. Near med body. Flavor is lightly citrus, mildly fruity with a little caramel. Decent IPA - but not the extreme NW.

cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Bottled. Pours hazy orange with a medium sized head. Decent retention and nice lacing. Aroma of light pine and earth backed a substantial malt base. Light-medium sweet, caramelly malt and soft bitterness. Medium body, creamy-thick texture, and a light bitter finish. Not surprised at the style considering the source of the collaboration. Solid malt-forward Oregon IPA i could drink often.

Drinking from the bottle, so the appearance is a bit difficult to judge but I can see that it is pretty cloudy. Not the hoppy aroma I was hoping for. But it is still a very enjoyable beer. A very nice tasting IPA. A little bitter but good nonetheless.

Ferris (12904) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 16, 2012
Bottle - Sweet and yeasty on the nose with a little bread. Golden with a thin persistent head. Yeast profile overwhelms the taste, but there is some hop bitterness and some orange peel and grapefruit.

dkingsella (152) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 4, 2012
Pours cloudy gold with thin white head leaving decent lacing on the glass. Some hops and doughy yeast in the nose. Pretty nicely balanced with sweet malty notes offsetting the fairly aggressive hops. Decent brew from two terrific breweries.

Amber in color, clear with a thin head. A decent hops aroma and then it becomes a mess of two IPA’s that are blended. Not a great collaboration not a new brew just a mix of two brews I have heard. Sorry missed the mark on this one.

Bottle (TG): Cloudy and golden with a thick, white, lasting head. Aroma is heavy citrus on top of grainy malt. Flavor has a notable element of malt sweetness, but it is well balanced by fruity hops, pine, and a bitter finish. For some reason, I preferred the bottled version over draft.
