Commercial Description:
Pale copper in color, but big in body and flavor with a heady hop character. The IPA uses spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Terminal Gravity used over 50% Marris Otter pale ale malt imported from the British Isles for a traditional British flavor. It adds several other malts from the Northwest and Europe. TG IPA has over 2 pounds of hops per barrel, finishing with British Fuggles for that classic aroma.

Pours out a hazy light copper color with a very nice fluffy head. Big citrus hop aroma with a bit of pine here and there. Taste is complex and very well balanced, nice bitterness on the finish. Some sweetness was noted here and there too

12 oz bottle from Liquid Solutions. Chilled for 1 1/2 hrs in frig. Somehat hazy amber color with a very large white foamy head. Lots of frothy lace that sticks to side of glass..Nice fresh lemon/orange aroma spicey (pepper?). Hoppy sweet grapefruit taste. Finish is the same. Bitter lemon/grapefruit quickly followed by some sweet malt. Very nice bittersweet aftertaste with some hints of pomegranite (yummy). One of the best IPA’s i have had, even better than Stone IPA, which is quite a compliment imho. Very nice beer...

Pours a deep orange very foggy due to the bottle conditioning leaving a thick tan head that is clingy and bubbly. The aroma is cinnamon cookies, with a strong presence of west coast hops right upfront. It has a sweetness that is very enticing of dark fruits hidden in the back of this one. The taste is really smooth, starts spicy like pepper folowed by a malty caramel sweetness that is abound with fruity overtones but brought back into check with a healthy dose of grapefruit bitterness. This is a great IPA wish I could get it around here.

Thanks to Ross for this one. Pours turbid dark straw/orangy with 1-finger, off-white head. Aroma of bready caramel malt, hops, tropical fruit, some florals. The taste is caramel malty at first, giving way to the hopcitrus, with some honeydew and melon noted, plus mango. Dense, complex palate that stays pleasantly refreshing.

Bottle. Hazy dark amber body. Peanut butter, ripe macintosh apple, and light fruity esters in the aroma - not much in the hop department. The peanut butter again comes through in the flavor but it’s accompanied by purer caramel, a lemon rind bite and apple. I think I’m sampling an older bottle; still tasty but not hoppy enough.

Henry’s on 12th in Portland, Or. Nice golden amber color with aromas of bread, caramel, malt and some pine/citrus. Flavors follow much the same lines. Very nice IPA.

Bottle poured a cloudy golden amberwith a small lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuits, earthiness, musky, carmel, a hint of pine and some faint citrus notes. Palate was medium bodied and dry. Flavors of biscuit, toffee, wood, musky, grapefruit rind, and some spice with a lingering woodsy bitter finish. One of the more interresting IPAs I’ve tried.

Sampled from bottle. Pours murky copper with a thin, white, scattered head. Aroma is bold with fresh grapefruit and some floral notes. Flavor is nicely bitter with heavy citrus, caramel candy and a piney hop finish. Full-bodied and wonderfully smooth. many of the Portland locals recommended this IPA - and for good reason. A wonderful beer.
