| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2006 Cloudy brownish orange, with a nice beige head. Attention-getting aroma: Pine citrus, maybe a hint of sea air (?) and vague sweetish note - toffee, maybe? Flavor is very woodsy, and also spicy, with a hint of citrus, too. There is a definate malt presence, more felt than tasted. Tasty. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2006 Bottle. Pours a darker copper with a large, long-lasting head. Scents of pine and some fruit on the nose. This had a roastier profile on the palate than other IPAs I have had before. So it was hops with toasted malts that made for an interesting taste combination. I’d like to try this one again. Bottle courtesy of wohlfs. illinismitty (1795), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 19, 2006 Bottle. Pours murky orange brown with white head. Faint aroma of sweet caramel malt and piney hops. Flavor of caramel, strong tea, and grapefruity hops. The finish has a strong black pepper bitterness with some fruitness that tickles the senses. Lingers nicely. Gets better as it warms. Solid IPA here. presario (2956), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2006 On tap at the Horse Brass. Looks like a textbook IPA. Dark orange. Lasting light foam and lacing. Light but enticing aroma that gets strong with more pronounced hops with each sniff. Orange and grapefruit flavour, hoppy without overpowering. Drinkable pint after pint beer. Finish is perhaps too clean. oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 7, 2006 Pours a medium golden amber color. Aromas of citrus and fruit. Flavor is a big hop presence with subtle tastes of fruit and vegetables, then more hops. This is one damn fine IPA. mamabeer (39), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2006 Bottle-This beer started with a very earthy, yeasty aroma. It presented as a hazy apricot color with a pale thin head. Lightly carbonated with a medium palate. A nicely hopped bitterness that finished with a fruity aftertaste. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 18, 2006 Draught Slightly hazy orange-amber beer; no head to speak of. C-hops, quite aromatic, fruity. Except for the hops, rather discreet. Cookie/cake malt hints at hidden sweetness. Getting some alcohol too, albeit not its sweetness. Burning, empty but for the alcohol. At least an attempt at balance. beerbrat99 (119), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2006 In nice haze infused orange in the glass. A slight sulphur note with fruit hits of pineapple and strawberry. Pleasant grassy/citrus hop nose. Nice malt complexity with hints of biscuit. A very pleasant beer with enough forward bitterness that fades and keeps me drinking more.
