Commercial Description:
Pale copper in color, but big in body and flavor with a heady hop character. The IPA uses spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Terminal Gravity used over 50% Marris Otter pale ale malt imported from the British Isles for a traditional British flavor. It adds several other malts from the Northwest and Europe. TG IPA has over 2 pounds of hops per barrel, finishing with British Fuggles for that classic aroma.

Bottle at World Beer Pub and Foods Bulldog, Ginza with 6.9% ABV according to the label. Hazy orangey golden with a lot of sediment and a healthy creamy head. Refreshing hop aroma. Good citrussy hop bitterness. Nice.

Pours a murky golden orange with a pretty nice, off white, fine-coarse head. Fairly balance bread/yeast with hop aroma. Grass, spice, and citrus hop aroma with sticky caramelized malts. Fairly bitter on the taste with lingering bitterness and astringency. I like malt so this gives it a few bonus points in terms of aroma and overall in my book. Pretty fair IPA.

Nice appearance, light copper-orange with a thin head. Note of alcohol in the aroma. The taste is first strongly of toasty malt, followed by a heavy, slightly floral bitterness, and again, a hint of alcohol. Decent, but not something I would seek out again.

Pours a very lightly hazy, dark orange-amber color. A foamy, cream colored head settles slowly to a patchy film, leaving stratified bands of lacing on the glass. The aroma shows a toasted biscuit and caramel malt base, with countering citrus and pine hop bitterness. Hints of soapiness detract from the nose a bit. Flavors are pretty much the same, darkly toasted grains, glazed biscuit, and caramel balanced by substantial grapefruit and pine resin hops. There is a hint of kafir lime leaves in there as well, which imparts a distinctly "green" feel. Medium in body and carbonation, the finish is bitter and slightly astringent. It’s a decent IPA, but the soapy nose and the mild astringency can’t be overlooked.

Bottle from PC Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. This brew was reminicient of Three Floyds Dreadnaught in that it had a full-bodied malt character. The hops of course are much more muted in this brew, although there were some piney and citrus notes. Very good beer.

Great aroma, and appearance. The taste was odd for an IPA, a weird bitterness that left an undesirable after-taste. I should’ve known just by looking at i their gimiccy bottle.

Bottle Timfoolery picked up from PC Market of Choice in Ashland, OR. I was quite impressed with this beer. Poured and amber/orange color and smelled of piney and citrus hops. The hops were well controlled and didnt assault the palate. Very smooth for an IPA. Tasted of citrus hops with a good malt backbone.

This beer flowed from a brown twelve ounce bottle with clear amber color and an off-white colored head. Aroma is a good dose of floral and piney hops. Has a medium body and a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is hop driven with floral and pine flavors riding a strong, sweet toasted caramel base brew. Nice balance of bitter hop and sweet caramel malt flavors here.
