Pale copper in color, but big in body and flavor with a heady hop character. The IPA uses spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Terminal Gravity used over 50% Marris Otter pale ale malt imported from the British Isles for a traditional British flavor. It adds several other malts from the Northwest and Europe. TG IPA has over 2 pounds of hops per barrel, finishing with British Fuggles for that classic aroma.

HOLY SHIT this is an awesome IPA!! Cloudy muddy yellow in the glass. A VERY strong grapefruit like hop aroma - you can smell it from arms length. Surprisingly, a perfectly balanced hop flavor - very biased towards the bitter citrusy side of hoppiness. Hop flavors are nicely balanced out with a nice malt toastiness. Hands down the best IPA of our beer trip to Oregon and Northern CA. (followed by the Lost Coast Indica IPA). May be on my top 5 list of best beers I've ever tried.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2004 Oregon Brewers Fest '03. Lot's of hops to this one with a long bitter finish. Tried on tap at the Heathman (7/04). This is a nice well balanced IPA. With a good kick to the finish. Excellent stuff.

This IPA has tons of fruity hops thoughout the taste. Great body on this one. Pretty good hop aroma.

Much closer to an English IPA then many of the PNW hop crazy american IPA'S. Nice cloudy golden amber body with a limpy dense white head. It is intensely hoppy, citrucy, resinous/piney, woody and biting. Pale malts come out among the hoppiness though, it surprised me a bit. Some dry grainy notes as well. Medium bodied, good balance (above average for most of the PNW interpretations out there). Fairly astringent, real bitter and dry on the finish with a bit of caramel emerging. Pretty good stuff.

Quenching, citrusy hop aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Quenching bitter, fresh, earthy, hop flavour. Classic Oregon.

When you ask an Oregonian what is the perfect IPA, Terminal Gravity leaps immediately to mind. Huge hops that are totally in harmony with the beer. Great tasting beer, that stands out in a world of hoppy Pacific NW beers.

Tap. Amber color with a rich white head that hugged the glass all the way to the bottom. Smooth hoppy flavor with a floral aroma.

Has fresh woody hops, combining well with sweet and crystal malt flavours and a gentle fruitiness.
