Terminal Gravity IPA is a copper to honey colored ale with a rich malt character and a clean bitter hop finish. This full bodied beer uses malts from Scotland, Belgium and the Pacific Northwest to achieve a slightly nutty lightly toasted taste. Yeast esters provide hints of stone fruits like apricot and peach, while hops from Yakima and Eastern Europe provide grapefruit and spicy notes.

good, getting to be fairly typical west coast IPA. Nice hops, as usual, but maybe missing out on a little maltiness.

An interesting cloudy brown color, a full grapefruity nose a juicy cascade body and a mildly bitter finish.

With buck_dich at horse brass when I had this one. Nice amber pour. Citrus hop aromas. Nice and bitter flavors. Great IPA.

Crisp & clean like an IPA should be. But has a flavor & scents that are more aromatic & flavorful than your usual IPA. Head is nice & dense & body is golden.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2004 Had a pitcher of this at the horse brass pub in Portland. Dark amber color, looks like lots of specialty malt went into this, not your typical IPA. Aroma is subtle but hoppy, more british that PNWern. Flavor is full of bittering hops but doesn't quite have the level of floral hops that I like in an IPA.

HOLY SHIT this is an awesome IPA!! Cloudy muddy yellow in the glass. A VERY strong grapefruit like hop aroma - you can smell it from arms length. Surprisingly, a perfectly balanced hop flavor - very biased towards the bitter citrusy side of hoppiness. Hop flavors are nicely balanced out with a nice malt toastiness. Hands down the best IPA of our beer trip to Oregon and Northern CA. (followed by the Lost Coast Indica IPA). May be on my top 5 list of best beers I've ever tried.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2004 Oregon Brewers Fest '03. Lot's of hops to this one with a long bitter finish. Tried on tap at the Heathman (7/04). This is a nice well balanced IPA. With a good kick to the finish. Excellent stuff.

This IPA has tons of fruity hops thoughout the taste. Great body on this one. Pretty good hop aroma.

Much closer to an English IPA then many of the PNW hop crazy american IPA'S. Nice cloudy golden amber body with a limpy dense white head. It is intensely hoppy, citrucy, resinous/piney, woody and biting. Pale malts come out among the hoppiness though, it surprised me a bit. Some dry grainy notes as well. Medium bodied, good balance (above average for most of the PNW interpretations out there). Fairly astringent, real bitter and dry on the finish with a bit of caramel emerging. Pretty good stuff.

Quenching, citrusy hop aroma. Cloudy orange colour. Quenching bitter, fresh, earthy, hop flavour. Classic Oregon.
