Commercial Description:
Pale copper in color, but big in body and flavor with a heady hop character. The IPA uses spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Terminal Gravity used over 50% Marris Otter pale ale malt imported from the British Isles for a traditional British flavor. It adds several other malts from the Northwest and Europe. TG IPA has over 2 pounds of hops per barrel, finishing with British Fuggles for that classic aroma.

Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours hazy brownish orange with off white head. The aroma is citrus orange and tart grapefruit hops mixing with sweet maltiness, some lightly roasted malts and faint earthiness too. The aroma is kind of on the light side. The taste is very much like the aroma with grapefruit hops, some wet to vegetable-ness to grassy hop bitterness. Interesting. There’s a nice under current of malty sweetness and faint roastiness. It doesn’t really shine with flavor and aroma the way I have come accustom to IPA being.

Pours from the bottle a light mysterious amber with a nice dense white head. Aroma is grapefruit and malt. Taste is slightly sweet with a nice balance of hops and malt and a nicely done bitter nip. The long malty aftertaste hearkens back to a bit of fruitiness and toasty malt. Well done. I just live 60 miles down the road from the brewery and they also have a very nice outdoor beer garden with some excellent sandwiches to compliment the beers. Cheers!

Poures a greenish gold color reminiscent of the skin of a turtle. tastes much better, however and my mind was blown by the complexity of this beer. the hops hit you upfront with a smash of bitterness that fades into grapefruit.. One of my favorite beers.

2008 Bottle - Pours dark orange with a lasting off-white head, aroma of straw and citrus, malty bitter flavour, decent but that’s about it, life is too short for decent...

On tap at the Oregon Brewers Fest. It’ll be there again this year in ’08, so looking forward to sampling this very hoppy IPA again soon. Very impressed with the taste, a bit grapefruity, definitely bitter and again very HOPPY. If in Oregon, a must-try brew. Loved it so much, got the tee-shirt while in Portland. My favorite tee!

Bottle courtesy Degarth. Pours a hazy copper with a one finger mostly lasting head that leave some lacing. Aroma of citrus, sweet malt, light caramel, and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good

Brought back from Portland by a friend who was nice enough to share. Pours witha slightly cloudy, amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s bitter and hoppy with a grassy, peppery note. Medium bodied, dry and warming.
