3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This is an old favorite of mine from my early days of beer geeking and I picked some up for the first time in like 3 years last night. Still one of the strangest IPAs Iíve ever had, has big time roasty hints of coffee or chocolate or something. Why I have no clue, but it works. I dig it.

In nice haze infused orange in the glass. A slight sulphur note with fruit hits of pineapple and strawberry. Pleasant grassy/citrus hop nose. Nice malt complexity with hints of biscuit. A very pleasant beer with enough forward bitterness that fades and keeps me drinking more.

clear copper pour, with a fluffy white head. aroma is sweet, with caramel, hops. flavor is piney, with a little bit of earthy/roasty undertones, which makes this ipa have character. finishes mildly bitter. full mouthfeel for an ipa. a very good one!

12oz bottle - poured a nice copper color. Immediately the strong malt presence was noticed in the aroma followed shortly by the first taste. This is a very mellow IPA that tastes good from first sip to last.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Reading some of the reviews Iím suspicious my bottle may have been off... it poured with no head, had no carbonation at all, and tasted flat with very little hoppy taste at all. Given itís higher rating by others, Iíll have to give this one another try - when I can find it again - to see if it was a bad bottle versus a bad beer...

Poures a greenish gold color reminiscent of the skin of a turtle. tastes much better, however and my mind was blown by the complexity of this beer. the hops hit you upfront with a smash of bitterness that fades into grapefruit.. One of my favorite beers.

what a wonderful beer. Has a great bold flavor that is different from most other IPA's. Once you have a pint of Gravity you won't mistake it for anything else.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance has a hazy orange color supporting a fair dissipating head leaving fair lace. Smell has a nice balance with the citric hops and sweet malt. Taste having a bold upfront flavor of an IPA with the piney, grapefruit flavor with the sweet caramel malt. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation.

Draft at a Basque restaurant in Boise, ID. Other than the fact that the bartender told me this beer was from San Jose, I really enjoyed it. Good bitter-sweet balance with a more citrus (and maybe just a little bitter chocolate) than pine hop character and enough malt to keep it from being too much of a "hop tea." Malt sweetness may have been a little "flanny," but maybe it was just my imagination getting away with me in the distinctly Iberian setting. Went great with some Basque cheese, cured meats, and shrimp-stuffed red peppers.
