Commercial Description:
Pale copper in color, but big in body and flavor with a heady hop character. The IPA uses spring water and snow melt from high in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Terminal Gravity used over 50% Marris Otter pale ale malt imported from the British Isles for a traditional British flavor. It adds several other malts from the Northwest and Europe. TG IPA has over 2 pounds of hops per barrel, finishing with British Fuggles for that classic aroma.

Copper color. Beautiful hoppy-fruity aroma, malty, nutty. A malty and nutty flavor, a lot of caramel, with some sweetness and hopped strongly but less than crazy way, excellent! Thanks Jeppe for sharing this one.

Bright copper-orange body topped by a creamy off-white head. The aroma is distinct, very flowery (Fuggles?). The aroma continues and is sweet like some exotic fruit I can’t put my finger on. The flavor is a huge burst of floral and light citrus. The malts are perfectly matched. Slightly sticky, light caramel. Yum. Man this is good. Light biscuit on the finsih. Medium body bitter dry finish. This is the perfect British IPA as done by a PNW brewer. All I can say is WOW and I wish I had ordered more!

Okay, I’ve had countless pints of this locally. I know I’ve rated this before, I guess I forgot to transfer my review from that lame-ass site before I got banned yet again without reason. Bottled version, and yet another awesome reason to live in the PNW. I’m pumped that they now have it in bottles; I hope I can find it up in Seattle in a few weeks. This is my go-to beer when I find it on tap. Anyway, on with the rating... So, pours a brownish orange with a decent head that leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is...wow. You’d think you were about to take a sip of grapefruit juice. Pure floral hops with only a hint of malt. Flavor is very well balanced. Nice malt sweetness does a nice job of keeping this from being too bitter Nice floral hops, spices...damn, it’s been too long. I’m in such heaven right now that I can’t even pick out the flavors; please forgive me. It’s not nearly as citric, though, as the aroma, which is a good thing. Palate is very thick and crisp. Overall, this is about as solid of an IPA as you will ever find and *definately* worth seeking out. I hope my local store gets more in soon.

On tap at Henry’s Tavern in Portland. One of, if not my favorite IPA sampled on my trip to Portland. Pours a dark clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma is a blast of fresh floral, piney pacific NW hops. In addition to being satisfyingly hoppy, this brew has great malt character as well - notes of toasted malt, caramel, toffee along with grapefruit/citrus and piney resinous hops. Pleasant sweetness, bitter hop finish. Very well balanced. Full, round and creamy with lively carbonation. Great lacing and head retention. I gotta get more of this shit, loved it!

Definitely one of the best IPA’s available. Once you’ve had a TG, it’s tough to drink another IPA after it. BIG flavor, but also very good balance between the malt and hops. I highly recommend this brew. Cheers!

Bottle. Great beer. Poured an amber orange color with a decent two finger white head. Left lacing on the side of the glass as it wenta along. Aroma was pine, hops, and citrus. Flavor exploded on the palate. Very great beer and company. Would drink again.

Pours a nice dark amber with a great white head. Aroma was nice and malty with a good hop aroma. Taste was malty, citrus hops in the finish with a slightly bitter end, slight grapefruit. Great IPA.

An interesting IPA for sure. Perhaps it’s the mix of Marris malt with PNW hops, but this beer has a murky orange color with a piney citrus flavor that is certainly enjoyable and readily drinkable. This beer has caught on like wildfire in Portland and it’s refreshing to see is take taps from the likes of, gag, red hook, gag, Bridgeport, or, gag, Pyrimad. Rock on little beer.
