Aroma is grapefruit and malt. Taste is slightly sweet with a nice balance of hops and malt and a nicely done bitter nip. The long malty aftertaste hearkens back to a bit of fruitiness and toasty malt. Well done. I just live 60 miles down the road from the brewery and they also have a very nice outdoor beer garden with some excellent sandwiches to compliment the beers. Cheers! Hazy golden orange pour, a little carbonation and a good rich aroma of vanilla and bitter citrus. Flavor starts light orange, then some piney hops and finishes with a lingering (and interesting) sweet grapefruit. Really like this one, very unique! Volgon (2490), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Orangey in a number of respects, maybe even something milder and less acidic . . . tangerines maybe. Gives it a softer character, a rounding of the edges. Maybe not quite Fuggles, but at least very similar in mellowness. Fabulously drinkable session-appropriate IPA. jazz88 (2240), San Francisco, California, USA
