Apr 15, 2005 clear copper pour, with a fluffy white head. aroma is sweet, with caramel, hops. flavor is piney, with a little bit of earthy/roasty undertones, which makes this ipa have character. finishes mildly bitter. full mouthfeel for an ipa. a very good one!

Jun 1, 2008 Pours from the bottle a light mysterious amber with a nice dense white head. Aroma is grapefruit and malt. Taste is slightly sweet with a nice balance of hops and malt and a nicely done bitter nip. The long malty aftertaste hearkens back to a bit of fruitiness and toasty malt. Well done. I just live 60 miles down the road from the brewery and they also have a very nice outdoor beer garden with some excellent sandwiches to compliment the beers. Cheers!

Jan 14, 2008 draft @ horse brass pub - been wanting to try this for a long while and it didn’t disappoint; cloudy orange with thin head; thick aroma mix of hops and malts; drinks creamy with no bitterness; tasty malt profile to go with the standard strong hops

Oct 6, 2009 Bottle from Scrizzz (Thanks!) Hazy golden orange pour, a little carbonation and a good rich aroma of vanilla and bitter citrus. Flavor starts light orange, then some piney hops and finishes with a lingering (and interesting) sweet grapefruit. Really like this one, very unique!

Oct 3, 2007 Orangey in a number of respects, maybe even something milder and less acidic . . . tangerines maybe. Gives it a softer character, a rounding of the edges. Maybe not quite Fuggles, but at least very similar in mellowness. Fabulously drinkable session-appropriate IPA.
