Help us celebrate American Independence and American Beer Month in July with the release of the Terrapin All-American Imperial Pilsner. This beer was brewed using only American malts, American hops, and American yeast. Who says you have to import ingredients from Germany to make a true Pilsner? Of course, this Pilsner is made "Terrapin Style". Hence the 75 B.U.’s, the 8% alcohol and the term "IMPERIAL Pilsner". Malt: 2-Row Pale Malt, Carapils Malt. Hops: Warrior, Mt. Hood, Santiam, Liberty, American Saaz (Dry Hop). O.G. 18.5 F.G. 4.5 B.U.’S 75 A.B.V. 8%

Really dank and bitter! Full bodied, hazy golden color. Lots of malt and grain in the smell and taste. Hops are present but not overwhelming.

Had during a bottle share at Pinglehead Brewing in Orange Park, Fl. Solid feeling beer with nice depth but boozy finish.

Opaque orange gold w/ off-white head. Bread, toffee & light hop aromas. Biscuit, caramel & ethanol flavors. Big flavorful pilsner.

9/13/2012. From bottle. Pours golden color with a white head. Aromas of malt, hay, yeast, hops and light fruit. Caramel and bready flavors. A bit too much alcohol for my taste.

Bomber. Sweet malty nose with a dash of lemony citrus, light earthy hops and caramel, touch of dough. Pours rich deep golden with a fizzy off-white head. Heavier dough in the mouth, a little spice and even some off-putting booze levels. Faintly herbal touch on the herbal hops, bready finish under the pils malt and booze. Full body, smooth. Not bad, but reminds of the very good reason pilsners should stay around 5%.

Bottle. Clear orange yellow pour, with a white head. Sweet malt, doughy, sugary, fairly hoppy, bitterness, and light citrus. A little bit boozy. Definitely tastes like an imp pilsner.

Bottle from Alex, shared at Oakquinox 2013. Pours a clear golden color with a white head. Sweet bready malt, some sugar, and grain. Floral hops, mild citrus, and some grass. There’s a lot of sweet bready malt flavor. A touch of biscuit, some sugar, and light fruits. Floral and grassy hops with a hint of citrus. Minimal bitterness on the finish.

Caramel, toast, and subtle earthy hops on the nose. Clear orange-gold with a quickly fading, off-white head. Slightly sweet with some grassy tones, and a light bitterness. Light-medium bodied with low carbonation, and nutty malt and floral hop flavors lingering.

Lots of malt, light head, amazing color. Nice palate. Tastes of sugar. Nice and crisp.

Pours a hazy orange yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of bananas and light grain. Mouthfeel is thick and smooth. Taste is malty sweet up front followed by a sharp peppery bitterness that eventually yields to a slight alcohol taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
